Key Trends from e-Hälsa+MVTe and Framtidens Hälso & Sjukvård

Last week, stakeholders from across the healthcare sector gathered at Kistamässan in Stockholm for the e-Hälsa+MVTe and Framtidens Hälso & Sjukvård conferences. The focus was on innovation, digitalisation, and future working methods. Here, we have summarised some of the most exciting key trends that we saw were particularly highlighted during the event.

Networking was a key theme as various stakeholders came together to exchange ideas and establish collaborations.

Cybersecurity and New Digital Identifications

With the increasing digitalisation of healthcare, security is becoming a crucial issue. One example presented was a new digital identification platform within the EU, designed to facilitate and secure all EU citizens' access to digital services, including healthcare. This is an important step in strengthening both security and accessibility within digital systems.

Less Administration, More Patient Time

Artificial intelligence (AI) appears to be on its way to becoming one of the most important tools in healthcare. During the conference, discussions focused on how AI can reduce administrative burdens by automating tasks such as medical notes and documentation. This would not only free up valuable time for healthcare professionals to focus on their patients but also contribute to a better working environment.

Sustainability – From Vision to Reality

Sustainability was also high on the agenda, particularly social sustainability, which aims to create equal healthcare for all. Technologies such as safety alarms and digital meeting solutions were showcased as examples of how innovation can improve quality of life for older people and individuals with special needs. The focus was on making healthcare more accessible and inclusive.

Proactive Care and Preventive Measures

Another insight was the shift from reactive to proactive healthcare. Instead of merely treating illnesses, the focus is on prevention and health promotion from the outset. Digital tools enable healthcare providers to monitor patients' health remotely and provide timely support. This fosters a more personalised, close-to-home, and flexible healthcare system.

The most significant takeaway from last week was the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors. By combining expertise and resources, we can develop solutions that not only improve the working conditions for healthcare professionals and the experience for patients but also enhance healthcare and social care on a broader scale.

In summary, innovation in technology, security, and sustainability is laying the foundation for healthcare that is more accessible, secure, and sustainable—both today and in the future.
