Halmstad University, Region Halland, and Halland's municipalities jointly organize a recurring digital seminar series aimed at fostering an understanding of how data-driven healthcare can contribute to Swedish healthcare and care services. The series also aims to provide insights into the current state of knowledge in the field. The seminar series is designed for those interested in the area, including managers, business developers, and researchers.
The healthcare sector faces significant challenges that cannot be resolved solely through increased resources or by individual actors. Therefore, the concept of data-driven healthcare, often referred to as "information-driven care," will play a crucial role in addressing many of the challenges within healthcare and caregiving.
Data-driven healthcare essentially revolves around how we utilize data and information in the healthcare sector. To advance this pioneering and exploratory work, we need to establish platforms where we can share our current knowledge, gain inspiration, gain insights into ongoing projects and initiatives, find new collaborative partners, and discuss the challenges encountered along the way.
The purpose of this seminar series is to serve as such a platform. It combines lectures with informal discussions, allowing participants to acquire new knowledge, engage across organizational and operational boundaries, and collectively discuss and reflect.
