As AI becomes increasingly capable, what does it mean to be human? This question is at the heart of Leap for Life’s session at Halland Tech Week in Halmstad on 12 November, where the discussion will focus on the proposed 18th Sustainable Development Goal: Being Human.
The UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals address the challenges facing our planet, but what about the people who live on it? As AI plays a greater role in decision-making, businesses and society face an important question: what makes us human, and what do we need to protect as technology continues to advance?
Leap for Life invites you to explore the growing calls for an 18th Sustainable Development Goal, Being Human, and what it could mean for leadership, the workplace and innovation.
The discussion brings together Siri Helle, psychologist and author, Dina Koutsikouri, Professor of Informatics at the University of Gothenburg and Amanda Marie Åberg, behavioural scientist and senior service designer specialising in AI, ethics and design. Rebecca Sellegren will moderate the discussion.

Halland Tech Week is an annual event bringing together people working in technology and innovation across Halland. On 12 November, High Five Innovationsarena will welcome businesses, researchers, entrepreneurs and anyone interested in technology to Halmstad University for a day exploring the role of people in technological development. The theme is You are the Maker – Spark. Connect. Create.
