Municipalities should be able to offer better daily healthcare and care assistance to their citizens. The CareWare Nordic project aims to develop the possibilities of welfare technology solutions and is funded by the Interreg ÖKS program and covers the Öresund, Kattegat, and Skagerak regions. The project takes place in close collaboration between developers of welfare technology, educational institutions, professionals, and the public system.
The project was extended in the spring of 2021, and the expectations are that the Nordic cooperation will continue after the three-year project period and hopefully spread to the rest of the Nordic countries and internationally. The project was completed in the summer of 2022. The e-publication summarising the project is available on this page.
The main components of the project involve knowledge and experience exchange through conference days and presentation days, product and business development with springboards, networking, and support for new innovations. It also involves a common market with cross-border collaborations around guidelines and legislation, as well as competence development in the healthcare sector through workshops and education.
