Leap for Mobility
Leap for Mobility is a feasibility study exploring the potential for a regional mobility innovation hub in Halland. The aim is to bring businesses, researchers and the public sector together to develop, test and scale innovative mobility solutions.
Mobility is a priority for Halland, but the region currently lacks a coordinated approach to collaboration between businesses, the public sector, academia and civil society. The study will explore the needs of businesses, the mobility challenges facing the public sector, and the research and expertise available in the region. It will also look at existing mobility innovation initiatives elsewhere to identify relevant experience and lessons for Halland.
The findings will inform a concrete proposal for a future mobility innovation hub in Halland, including its focus, organisation and funding, as well as a plan for establishing it.
Goals and Objectives
The study will lay the groundwork for a long-term innovation hub where businesses, the public sector and academia can work together to address real needs and develop sustainable mobility solutions.
The work will involve identifying the needs of businesses and other key stakeholders, exploring relevant research expertise, reviewing mobility initiatives elsewhere, and developing proposals for how a future innovation hub could be organised and funded.

Funding
The feasibility study is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Region Halland.
Collaboration
Leap for Life is leading the project. Throughout the study, we will work closely with organisations and stakeholders involved in mobility across Halland, including Region Halland, the region’s municipalities, Halmstad University, researchers and businesses.
Sustainability goals
The project contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9, 11 and 13 by strengthening businesses’ capacity for innovation and supporting the development of sustainable mobility solutions.
