Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and social distancing, the group Aktiv senior, was forced to pause all their activities. Together with Leap for Life, the group members received professional development and the digital meeting place Nätverket was created.
Aktiv senior, which is a part of Varberg Municipality, decided to start hosting their events and meetings digitally. In a collaboration between Leap for Life and Varberg Municipality, the digital meeting place Nätverket was created. The project group taught the members how to use Microsoft Teams for video meetings and created suitable activities like quizzes and digital tours of Halland Museum of Cultural History.
“A goal in the project CareWare Nordic, which is part of Leap, is to do competence development of welfare technology for staff. Our part of this collaboration was to share our experiences with digital meeting platforms and what should be considered when trying a new product”, says Elin Jonsson, research engineer at Leap for Life.
In addition to this collaboration, the event Cancelled or converted? (Inställt eller omställt?) took place as a way for people working with converting meetings and activities due to COVID-19, to get together and share their experiences. As a result of the event, a LinkedIn group was created to encourage and enable people to continue to work together to convert their activities.
