"I Represent Seniors and My Own Life Experiences"

I am 75 years old, and in the Experience Council, I represent seniors and my own life experiences. Throughout different stages of life, I have been married, divorced, single, cohabiting, and widowed. I have three very different children, some of whom have diagnoses.

For most of my life, I have been in good health, but I have also faced serious illness, battling cancer. This involved a year of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, which is now several years behind me. I have also been a close relative, supporting my life partner when he was struck by a severe and rare disease, from which he later passed away.

I have worked in healthcare and social care my entire life, both clinically as a nurse and in various leadership roles at municipal and regional levels. Among other things, I have helped develop a national care program for palliative care at the end of life, as well as numerous healthcare agreements and contracts.

What Matters to Me:

• That healthcare and social care should be co-creative.
• That everyone should have the opportunity to contribute their experience and knowledge.
